While giving an attractive shiny finish, these sheets have excellent impact, corrosion and weather resistant qualities making them ideal for outdoor installations that require a strong material. It is made from a sheet of plastic sandwiched between two thinner sheets of aluminum giving a reinforced sheet that can withstand more than half the weight that glass can. This material has achieved the BS 476 part seven class one fire rating, meaning 3mm Jet Black Aluminium Composite panels can be used behind a heat source, such as a kitchen hob, safely but this also makes them ideal for outdoor signage or information boards as they have an extremely flat surface for printing high quality graphics or text, and the durability of them means they can withstand the elements.
